Building in 12 Alberta St was built in 1903, it was designed by architects Eugen Laube and Konstantīns Peksens, who lived here himself. Meanwhile, in attic tower, lived the talented painter Janis Rozentals and writer Rudolfs Blaumanis.
In the buildings architecture, national rational Art Noveau has been mixed with German Renaissance. Facadé is richly decorated with motifs from nature: pine needles pinecones, squirrels.
Nowadays, in the building Riga Art Noveau center-museum is located, as well as Blaumanis and Rozentals memorial museums. Other tenants include advertising and lawyer companies, IT start-ups, various representatives, and apartments as well.

Albert St (Alberta iela, Альбертовская улица) was erected in 1900, in memory of the first archi-bishop of Riga, Albrecht von Buxhoeveden (Adalbertus Canonicus Rigensis), and the 700th anniversary of Riga city founding.
